Val di Peio

Val di Peio, a side valley of Val di Sole in Trentino, is famous for its iron-rich water springs and spa areas. The valley is closed off by the Ortles-Cevedale mountain range.

This delightful setting features large areas of wild mountains, glaciers that never melt, little natural lakes and two large artificial lakes for the production of hydroelectrical energy: Cáreser (2603 m) and Pian Palù (1800 m).

Peio is an important tourist resort, offering summer visitors the opportunity to enjoy hiking trips in the Stelvio National Park, while winter holidaymakers can opt for Alpine or Nordic skiing, as well as ice-skating.

Today Pejo Fonti is a well-known spa resort, with numerous accommodation facilities located in the area around the brand-new spa complex and the lift facilities.

All this makes Pejo Fonti the ideal choice for those looking for a relaxing holiday that offers wellness facilities and the chance to enjoy fresh, pure air and beautiful natural landscapes.

Well worth a visit is the museum that focuses on the WWI battles, many of which were fought on these mountains.
